2025 Wildlife Photography Retreat with Andrew Coleman & Jonathan Irish
This immersive 2025 workshop is designed to help you become a more confident and intentional photographer. Through a deeper understanding of light, composition, and visual storytelling, you’ll learn how to create powerful images that capture both moments and meaning.
Daily sessions combine hands-on fieldwork with image critiques, portfolio reviews, and digital workflow guidance. Topics include photographing wildlife and landscapes, mastering light and composition, storytelling through imagery, and the art of travel photography.
The workshop consists of a 1 ½ day theory component, and then 3 ½ days where the participants put into practice what they have learnt in the first 1 ½ days. They will begin with a Site Visit and Mehtaphysical Analysis and then for three days will work on the various stages in the planning and design process. The charette will result in participants putting together a basic Conceptual Master Plan for an Ecolodge as well as an Architectural Floor Plan of an ecolodge guest unit. This Workshop and Charette will provide hands-on training to receptive communities in how to design and build in sensitive and fragile ecosystems.
